Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 strips of Bacon (4 oz)
  • 1 cup of grated Cheese (4 oz)
  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped Parsley
  • 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
  • 400°F, preheated oven

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.

2. Finely chop the parsley and set aside.

3. In a medium bowl, mix together the grated cheese and chopped parsley.

4. Add olive oil, garlic powder, and ground black pepper to the cheese mixture and combine until you have a thick paste.

5. Cut each bacon strip into four pieces and spread them out on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Divide the cheese mixture into four equal parts and spread it over each piece of bacon.

7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp and golden brown.

8. Allow to cool before serving to your dog.

Healthier bacon bites for dogs

Treat your pup to these delicious and healthy Bacon Bites! A great way to show your pup some love while still keeping them healthy and happy.

Start by preheating the oven to 375°F. Then, in a medium bowl, mix together 1/2 cup of oats, 1/4 cup of almond flour, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon of dried parsley, and 1/4 teaspoon of smoked paprika.

Once combined, add 1 large egg and a tablespoon of olive oil. Stir until everything is combined.

In a separate bowl, mix together 3 strips of cooked and crumbled bacon, 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, and 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley.

Then, add the wet ingredients to the bacon and cheese mixture and stir until combined.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and scoop out 1-tablespoon sized balls onto the tray. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely before giving to your pup!
