She goes on walks with her owners every day, she wags her tail when she is happy, but she is not a dog, but rather a lamb. This particular little lamb was adopted by a pack of Border Collies in the Scottish Highlands and has now taken to hanging out with the wrong flock.
This now 10-month old lamb was born last April several months premature and was in a struggle to survive at the croft farm in Ullapool in Ross-shire. The lamb was taken away from her mother and into the house to be raised and given extra care by owner Mari Mackenzie, but it turned out that her three Border Collies provided the most help to this young lamb. The lamb and her housemates immediately bonded, with the oldest sheep dog named Dice adopting her and letting her sleep in his own dog bed. Well, that is until she ended up kicking him out as she grew older.
Now this little lamb loves nothing more than going for daily walks with the dogs and wagging her tail at both housemates and owners when she is happy. In fact, if she can't see her pack of dogs, she bleats until they come back.
Mackenzie state, "She’s a right character. We’ve kept other lambs as pets before but they’ve never been like this. I don’t think we’ll ever get rid of her - the oldest dog would be gutted."
She loves to run and frolic with the dogs, but a sheep is no speed demon when compared to the lithe and sassy Border Collie. This particular lamb has managed though, but adopting a unique and humorous running style as seen in videos like the one below taken by the croft farm owners.
