Like anyone, when Good Samaritans Patricia and Tracy watched a man and women get out of their car and throw a bundle in the trash in San Antonio, Texas they thought nothing of it. However, minutes later when howling began to spew from that same trash bin, they knew something was terribly wrong. The two women approached the bin and were shocked when they spotted an abandoned three year old male dog inside with all four of its legs duct taped together.
Immediately, Patricia jumped into the dumpster to retrieve this abused canine. The women were able to gently remove the duct tape and free the dog while they waited for local police to arrive. The police filed and animal abuse report and the dog was taken to the San Antonio Humane Society.
At the Humane Society, the dog was checked out by a veterinarian and given the name Oscar. By some miracle, Oscar did not have any injuries. Though he was scared and likely shocked at his abuse, he was overall in good health. This came as a surprise to Humane Society officials as usually dogs dumped in such a way are subjected to ongoing abuse. They find it all around baffling that such a healthy and obviously well cared for dog would suddenly be dumped in such a cruel, uncaring way. The San Antonio police are now looking for the two suspects that did such a thing to an innocent animal. However, there are no leads. The two women who witnessed the dumping could not manage to give a detailed description of either suspect.
While Oscar is safe and being cared for at the San Antonio Humane Society, he will go up for adoption in just a few days. This friendly little pup will be in dire need of a forever home where he can recover from such a sudden bout of abuse.
