Bluey has had a tough life. He's a dog who would love to go outside and run, but there is only one thing stopping him--he is allergic to it. Bluey is an eight-year-old weimaraner who loved going outdoors, however when he would return he had to spend hours licking his paws after walks. Veterinarians were stumped by what in particular was causing his allergy to his going outside. When Bluey would come inside, the pads of his feet were red and inflamed. The inflammation would go down after hours of care from Bluey's loving tongue, but a dog that has to stay indoors all the time lives a sad life.
At first, Bluey's owner Julie Farr of Pembrokwshire, West Wales would tie plastic bags around his feet. However, it was not practical and Bluey often tried to gnaw them off, as any of us would. Thankfully, Julie Farr didn't give up on Bluey's problem. She had boots specially made in the United States. These boots would protect Bluey's feet and hopefully be comforting enough to not provoke him trying to rip them off.
At first, Bluey wasn't impressed with his fancy new footwear. He walked clumsily, however he soon got used to them. Now Bluey fully enjoy gallivanting through the outdoors like any normal dog, except more fashionable.
