Obviously, cats can form strong bonds with men and women (or girls and boys). Some cats even carry out the most human of tasks (like playing piano).
A March 6th, 2015 article by Mish Whalen in Today.com titled Sweet portraits of men with their felines challenge 'cat lady' stereotypes had me wondering what other women thought.
So, I conducted an informal survey of 17 friends who all agreed that a man shown to be nurturing to a cat is HOT.
When I was in my 20s, a guy confessed to me that he bought a puppy to attract the ladies. Sure, that works too. Yet there is something endearing about a man interacting with a cat that really captivates a woman.
I think it's because cats aren't always easy. Dogs need a leader; cats don't. If a cat likes you, you've probably gone out of your way to deserve their affections.
A male veterinarian once told me, "I'd much rather treat an angry dog than an angry cat."
With these opinions in mind, I decided to explore this societal trend. Up next, enjoy a 1:08 second video of Cole the black cat with his human, Chris.
Real Men Hug Cats!

"Men With Cats" (MWC) Calendar 2015
I was delighted to find a Facebook page devoted to SCAT Street Cat Rescue "Men With Cats" Calendar Charity Organization. For $20 CDN, you can purchase a 2015 Men With Cats calendar.
What's more, 100% of the proceeds from these sales support the work of SCAT Street Cat Rescue.
Since 1997, SCAT Street Cat Rescue has been helping to nurture and save the lives of felines in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. They are a volunteer-based, no-kill organization located in the middle of the Canadian prairies.
What About Our American Friends?

Apparently, there is a Kittendales 2015 Hunks Calendar. In fact, this year marks the 8th year that this calendar has been published.
What's so endearing is that it not only breaks down the stereotype that "cats are women's pets" but these calendars benefit animal rescue shelters.
This year, the 2015 Kittendales Hunks Calendar sales will support Hull Seaside Animal Rescue.
Hull Seaside Animal Rescue is also a no-kill, non-profit cat shelter that provides medical care and a safe, warm home to hundreds of cats.
Hmm, I Just Might Be Stereotyping Men
Okay, admittedly I enjoy looking at a healthy male body (who doesn't). But that doesn't mean that only so-called "hot" men should consider owning a cat.
Since my father was an engineer (and he loved our family cat Mittens), I thought I'd look for an engineer's point of view.
Well, I hit pay dirt. Not one, but two engineers go over the finer details of owning cats in the hilarious video shown next. And, Paul Klusman even demonstrates the little-known talent: cat yodeling.
