Everybody needs somebody to love. Dogs are no exception. This is what makes this story exceptionally sad. Gwinn and Rowdy, brother and sister chow mixes have been living in a Houston, Texas animal shelter now for over seven years. Since 2006 Gwinn and Rowdy have almost exclusively lived in a kennel.
At one point, the brother and sister duo were adopted, unfortunately it never worked out with the family and they were returned to the kennel, to go on without a family.
These two fun loving chow mixes love going for walks and are even eager to help put on their harnesses so they can get out and see the world. They love going for walks and swims and getting their pictures taken!
There is no secret that it is hard to find families willing to take on older dogs, yet it is even harder to find somebody willing to adopt two older siblings. We know that Gwinn and Rowdy are the perfect fit for somebody out there. Every bit of attention, help us bring awareness to these two unadopted dogs by sharing this with your friends and family on Facebook.
We would love to see this amazing brother and sister duo finally find a family that they can love. If you live in the Houston area and are interested, you can contact the Kennel via their Facebook page, or by emailing Marlene.
